Short Bio
I am a Research and Policy Economist, with over 15 years of experience in International, Development, and Labour Economics. After receiving PhD in Economics at Bocconi University in 2008, I spent 4 years doing research on international migration in a Paris-based research center CEPII and teaching in both public and private universities. Attracted by a possibility to apply research to policy, between 2012 and 2018, I worked for the International Labour Organization in Geneva, being in charge of a range of analytical and technical projects on non-standard employment and the role of labour market institutions. Between 2018 and 2020, I worked as an independent consultant for various international organizations and academic institutions, on topics ranging from labour migration to work in the digital economy. As of September 2020, I joined the OECD Development Center as a Development Economist.

Throughout these experiences, I developed a strong expertise in providing policy and technical advice for international fora and within institutional collaborations, including G-20, ILO-Eurofound, ILO-OECD, KNOMAD (World Bank). In parallel, I continued conducting research, publishing in peer-reviewed international journals and teaching in 4 languages: English, French, Russian, Ukrainian. The geography of my technical expertice spans Italy, France, Montenegro, Portugal, the EU, Ukraine, Russia, Morocco, Tanzania, and the Caribbean.
